NOTICE TO EXPORTERS SHIPPING GOODS TO LIBYA

Verification of Conformity for Libya can only be performed by registered entities in the future. As a registered company in Libya, Bureau Veritas is the partner to secure your exports in compliance with the applicable regulations.

Verification of Conformity (VoC) Programme:

On April 30, 2015, the Central Bank of Libya issued Decision No. 96 of 2015, which established the requirement to present an inspection certificate issued by an international inspection company for all goods imported into Libya as a condition for opening a documentary letter of credit (L/C).

Objectives:

Verification that the goods presented correspond to the description in the import documents.
Verification of the goods against the list of prohibited goods.
Issuance of the control certificate with a hologram to confirm the documentary credit.
